Jack the Ripper Murders

Between April 1888 and February 1891 eleven murders committed in the East End have been grouped together under the heading of the Whitechapel Murders, five of which are now generally accepted as those of 'Jack the Ripper'.
 
Herbert & Sons employees all lived very close to the St. George Street premises shown on the map, and the huge public interest in these horrific murders would have been the main talking point among them.
