Company Jubilee celebration

For Queen Victoria's Jubilee in 1887 the premises at Gray's Inn Road were decorated.  Thomas J Herbert recalled ‘..we had a wonderful array of lights up on our premises....we had a star in gas and VR each side of the star and they had a square of lights...they were lit by ordinary gas... he (William Alfred Herbert) spent some money on it to do that...'
