Vi Dickinson

Violet Dickinson (1906 – 2007)

 

Violet Collings was born on 27th June 1906, and married Charles Dickinson in Edmonton in 1928.

 

Vi joined us as a cleaner in 1959, retiring at the age of 60 in 1966.

 

Vi’s husband, Charlie, had joined the Company in 1940, retiring from his job in the grinding shop in 1974.

 

She and her husband moved with us to Haverhill from Edmonton in 1968, and then moved to Harlow in 1980.

 

Vi retained good health to the end, knitting, playing cards and enjoying the company of her large family, and died in October 2007 at the age of 101.
