Lily Collins

Lily Collins joined the company at Angel Road, Edmonton, in the early days of WWII working initially in the works office, then moving to the London Service Depot in 1968.

She retired in 1972, when her manager Les Skates paid tribute to her and thanking her “for the unenviable task she performed so well of dealing with telephone queries and requests from customers, salesmen and mechanics”.   A quiet and happy person Lily frequently kept in touch after reading news of her old friends in Lion News.

Lily moved into the Eastbrook Old Peoples Home in Edmonton in 1986 and it was there that she died on November 2nd 1994, aged 85.
