Coin Scale c1780 by Thomas Croome

Scale with steel beam with swan neck terminals in a shark skin (Shagreen) covered case 5˝ in x 2˝ in, with a space for weights.

 

These were made by Thomas Croome, at the Justice & Scales, No 6 near Cow Lane, West Smithfield about 1780.

 

The label is overwritten ‘John Saker' in black ink.
