Coin Scale c1790 by Richard Wood

Scale with steel beam with box terminals in a shark skin (Shagreen) covered case 5½ in x 2¾ in.
 
These were made by Richard Wood (late Goulding) around 1790 when at the Angel & Scales, No 15 in Queen Street, Cheapside.
 
The box contains two knobbed weights for a guinea and half guinea.
