Brass Beam Scale - Harrods

These scales were made by Herberts for the famous Harrods store in London. Harrods opened its first shop in 1849 and specialised in selling tea, perfumes, medicines, fruit and vegetables. The store we now see in Knightsbridge was built after a serious fire burnt down the earlier building in 1883.
