Coin Scale c1820Scale with steel beam with swan neck terminals in a plain mahogany box 6½ in x 3 in.
These were made by Richard Pallett [label gives Richard Pallet] at 91 Leadenhall Street, London about 1820.
Thomas Herbert was originally employed as an errand boy at Pallett's, starting in about 1825 when he was aged 14.
