Inverted Weighing Machine - Medhurst

This Inverted Weighing Machine was made around 1890 to the Medhurst design, Fig 5 in their catalogue which we continued to manufacture after we purchased the company in 1881.

These scales have a copper goods plate, which is a modification to the original design, the original porcelain plate retainers having been sawn off.

The set of four cast iron weights, 1lb, 2lb, 4lb & 7lb, are contemporary, stamped for London County Council (stamp number 522) in 1912.
