Grain Measures

Grain Measures, ¼ cu ft & ½ cu ft

 

Two Herbert & Sons Ltd stamped grain measures of painted mild steel c1920, made for the County of Southampton.

 

The ¼ cu ft measure is 8" x 8" x 8", and contains 2011 Grafton wheat from Ickleton Grange Farm.

 

The ½ cu ft measure is 10" x 10" x 10", and contains 2011 Santiago wheat from Abbey Farm, Ickleton, both samples kindly provided by Mr. Lewis Duke.
