London Association Dinner 1891

The Association of London Scale and Weighing Machine Manufacturers was formed in 1890 and the first dinner was held at the London Tavern in Fenchurch Street on 4th March 1891, the chairman being W.C. Fanner of De Grave Short & Fanner. 
 
The menu comprised:
 
Soups: Prince of Wales or Spring
Fish: Boiled Salmon and Hollandaise Sauce or Whitebait, plain and devilled
Entrée: Kromeskies a la Russe
Removes: Roast Sirloin of Beef, horseradish sauce or Roast Haunch of Venison, red currant jelly, with cauliflower, cabbage & sauté potatoes
Roast Capon, York Ham and chips
Macaroni au gratin
Sweets: Nicoll Pudding, punch jelly or Peaches a la Conde, French pastry or Ice Pudding a la Royale
