1957 - Daily Mail Food Trades Exhibition

The first issue of Lion News carried the following information:

 

"In order to strengthen our connection in the Manchester area, the Company has taken a double-fronted stand at the Daily Mail Food Trades Exhibition, Manchester, from September 10th to 21st.  A full range of our equipment will be on display, and a Prize Draw is being run to encourage visitors."

 

Following the Exhibition, Lion News reported:

 

"The Company's stand at the Daily Mail Exhibition was a bright one and attracted much attention and we received an excellent write up in both Modern Meat Marketing and Meat Trades Journals.

 

"The exhibition was opened by Bob Monkhouse in an amusing speech and he afterwards toured the stands.

 

"A photo of our stand appears with this bulletin.  Thanks are due to those who staffed the stand during a strenuous fortnight, especially to Mr. Davis."
