1988 - Meatex

The Company exhibited at the Meatex Exhibition at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham from 20th to 23rd March.

Lion News reported:

We had our same prime position just opposite the entrance and an impressive 232 square metres decked out in dark blue and white with our logo visible from all angles.  At least we can claim to have been noticed by the vast majority of visitors to the show.  More down to earth figures:  nearly 500 enquiries over the four days;  £28,000 worth of orders booked on the stand;  £1,100,000 worth of business identified that we did not know about before the show - now we've got the even bigger task of converting as many of these as possible into hard orders.

The 'star' of the show was the IF 6000, however, the whole stand was a catalogue of new products for us to push out into the market place and included:  the AW 6000 stamped just before the show;  the Industrial range of overhead track and carcase weighers, low profile and bench scales;  the new phase II SM 60 with LVTS software package;  the Sibola wrapping tables.

Generally a new image - a stronger use of our LION logo in a new set of corporate image guidelines, which will be increasingly evident over the next few months.
