1990 - Meatex

The Company had a stand at the Meatex exhibition held at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham from 18th to 21st March.

 

The Company obtained the front cover position on the official Meatex Daily News for the full four days of the exhibition and also advertised in the Meatex catalogue.

Meatex, held every two years at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, is our main trade show.  Herbert & Sons is a founder member of the organising company, Meatex Ltd., and Mr. Jim Herbert is on its Board of Directors.

 

We used this year's show to launch a range of new products:  AW 2600 Series Automatic Wrap Weigh Labellers;  HC 2600 High Speed Labeller;  DPS 2600 High Speed Labeller;  IH 430 Industrial Head & Platform Range;  BCS 2600 Automatic Bar Code Checker;  OCM 430/423 Outer Case Marking System;  SSP 430 Integrated Wrapping Table and Weigh Price Labeller.

 

In addition, on the stand we had our top selling products such as the IF 6000 High Speed Weigh Price Labeller, SM 60 and DS 430 Counter Scales, LVTS software, and many others.

 

Our excellent location right opposite the main entrance certainly attracted the visitors - at times our stand was so full with customers that it was difficult to demonstrate the equipment.

 

The sales team are now busy following up all the leads and interest shown.  Another aspect of our stand this year is that it is designed to be reused at future exhibitions - a very useful cost saver.
