1988 - EPOS/EFTPOS

The Company exhibited at the EPOS/EFTPOS Show at the newly re-opened Alexandra Palace in London.

The show is devoted to electronic point of sale or fund transfers and attracts all those interested in the application of new technology to checkout or retail operations.  Exhibitors included IBM, ICL, Nixdorf and, of course, ourselves.  We were showing the LVTSII software package driving SM 60 Scales and SAP 5 Bakery Printers in a linked system, checkout scales linked to Nixdorf and ADS terminals, our stand-alone Retail Scale DS 430, together with back-of-store Scale and Printer DPS 6000 and Sibola tables.

 

Visitors to our stand covered the whole spectrum of retailers from Tesco, Sainsbury, Waitrose and the like, down to small speciality cheese shops and health food shops looking to link scales to their ECRs or IBM terminals.
