Early in the project, a team from the Down our Weigh group visited Herberts in Rookwood Way, Haverhill.  They had a first chance to explore the collection of scales, butchers’ sundries, Victorian documents and old photographs such as a staff outing in the 1860s.  They also had a tour of the modern production line to see how an electronic digital scale is made by Herberts today.  The Year 9 group met members of the repair team who fix broken PDAs held by the service engineers who go out on call to supermarkets right across the UK.
